Privacy Notice on the Processing of Personal Data of Job Applicants
We at “Murphy M” EOOD understand that it is important for you to know how we collect, store, share, and use personal data. This notice explains our practices and your rights regarding control over the processing of your data.
Please read this document carefully before submitting personal data to us.
“Murphy M” EOOD, UIC 175136385, with registered office at 3 Graf Ignatiev St., 1st floor, Sofia, email: [email protected], is the data controller in relation to the personal data of candidates applying for open positions.
We conduct recruitment based on the information provided in your application, which may include:
- CV content - name, email, address, phone number, citizenship, date of birth, gender, residence, education and qualifications, work experience and job history, skills, language proficiency, driving license, and any other details you voluntarily include.
- Photograph - not mandatory. If included, it will not be processed using facial recognition technologies.
- Official documents – if we request certificates (e.g., education or qualification), we process their content, such as issue number, date, institution, and embedded photo or data.
- Job-relevant skills – decisions to invite you to join our team will be based primarily on your skills, whether provided in written format or demonstrated during interviews.
- Message content – messages or cover letters accompanying your application may include additional personal data.
- Data generated during recruitment – e.g., evaluations of your job-relevant skills, communication abilities, and suitability for the role.
We do not require sensitive data (special categories or criminal convictions). Please do not include such data.
Providing personal data is voluntary, but without basic information such as education, work experience, and contact details, your application cannot be considered.

We process your data to:
- Evaluate job applications and make hiring decisions.
- Verify the accuracy of the provided information.
- Communicate with you during recruitment.
Establish or defend potential legal claims.
We do not use automated decision-making or profiling.
Data is processed based on your consent, expressed through your application or explicitly provided for future recruitment. You may withdraw your consent at any time by emailing: [email protected]Withdrawal of consent will be treated as withdrawal from the recruitment process.
Most data will be provided by you. In rare cases, we may receive references or access publicly available information.
We retain personal data only as long as necessary. If you are not selected, your data will be processed for up to 6 months after the job posting closes. If you consent to future recruitment opportunities, your data will be stored accordingly.
If submitted without reference to an open position, your data may be used for future opportunities within 6 months of receipt.
Your data is processed internally. It may also be visible to job platforms such as https://www.jobs.bg. See their privacy terms here: https://www.jobs.bg/terms.php?type=2&r=1 (agreement for processing personal data).
We do not transfer your data outside the EEA or to international organizations.
Personal Data
We apply reasonable physical, technical, and organizational safeguards, in line with EU and national law. You can request details by emailing: [email protected].
As a data subject, you may request:
- Access to your data;
- Correction of inaccuracies (or completion of incomplete data);
- Erasure of personal data (when legally applicable);
- Restriction of processing to storage only (under certain conditions);
- Data portability (for data processed by consent or contract via automated means);
